The House of Miniatures mirror kit # 42400: McIntire Glass, 12th Scale pewter miniatures kit

Cast in solid pewter by Stieff Company (silversmiths), along with many other miniature items, this is a kit to build a large gilded mirror, as one might have found in the entry hall of fine home of the American Colonial era. 

This is an advanced hobbyist kit that requires assembly with epoxy or super glue, and finishing with gold leaf or paint.

These pewter kits from The House of Miniatures are rare and were only produced in 1977 & 1978 in small batches. This pewter contains no lead, but residual fears about the lead content of older pewter like contributed to the poor sales of these kits in the 1970s.
