From the Advertisements in 1994:
The Signatures Series, Federal Collection, "Precision Crafted Wooden Kits" by Houseworks, Ltd. - Several distinct styles were prominent in the Federal period, including Hepplewhite, Sheraton, and later interpretations of these by Duncan Phyfe.
It is with great pride that we offer the first twelve kits in this collection, beginning with the gun cabinet. Future selections include the beautiful Federal Bedroom Suite, Hepplewhite/Duncan Phyfe Dining Room Suite and other period pieces. Twenty-eight additional designs are being created and developed for a complete ensemble previously unavailable in kits or any other market.
From the onset we knew that a collection such as this must be exciting and unique. To insure this we commissioned one of the world's foremost miniatures artisans, Tony Jones, to research and design these exquisite pieces. In order to be sure the quality and engineering were unmatched, we had them manufactured under the supervision of jimmy Wang. Jimmy, often thought of within the trade as the "Father of Modern Miniatures", has also brought us The House of Miniatures, Shenandoah, and other fine products.
The Signature Series Furniture Kits offer a standard of excellence previously unavailable. Whether you are beginning your collection or adding to an existing one, you will immediately recognize the quality and craftmanship of these fine pieces. You owe yourself the pleasure of building and finishing these beautiful museum quality pieces of furniture.
